Imagine all your favorite people in the most magnificent setting of 60 private acres of majestic forest, lavender fields, and highlighted with century old historic barns meticulously restored with the most exquisite modern features. Lavender Oaks Farm is located less than 5 miles to downtown Chapel Hill, NC, very close to all the hotels, restaurants, only 30 minutes to RDU Airport, and yes, Uber/Lyft and shuttles (large and small) come to our farm.

The average wedding budget of couples that book our venue is $35,000-$40,000 including our rental fee, and because we include so much we find that we save our couples quite a lot and provide a beautiful place for our couples to enjoy long after their wedding day. We allow you to drop off items including your own alcohol days before your wedding, and come back the next day to pick up remaining alcohol and gifts, so you have the luxury of time to relax on your wedding day. We know at first glance our venue seems more expensive than similar venues, but we encourage you to arrange a tour to see the many items and services we include.

Floral Packages: Starting at $3,000
As artists and designers we have curated several in-house designs for your Save the Date, Invitations, Event Signage that can be customized for free. Printing is not included, but we have local and online printing sources to recommend.
Our two historic timber frame barns are the heart of our farm and designed in the style of European farmhouses and chateaus. Our main Barn, circa 1900, is 7,000 sq. ft., elegant with a touch of rustic, adorned with opulent wrought iron and crystal chandeliers, temperature controlled, and includes our beautiful Dressing Suite, a second retreat room for unlimited possibilities (photo booth, ice cream vendor), a 1,000 sq ft Loft, gourmet kitchen, spacious restrooms, and our Lavender Oaks Farm Shoppe. Walk outside our main Barn and enjoy our 3,500 outdoor patio with our stone fireplace, wrought iron gazebo, all overlooking our 4,000 lavender plants. We faced our main Barn east so the outdoor patio gets all the afternoon shade which creates the most comfortable setting for your guests and the best lighting to capture every detail of your event. Our covered outdoor Pavilion Barn is a beautiful setting for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or as a rain contingency plan. We rent our barns for weddings and special events year-round and include all your décor, tables, chairs, centerpiece items, graphic design services, and even all your long burning candles, and more!
We want you to feel at home on our farm during wedding planning. You are welcome to arrange photo shoots and planning meetings on our farm including your engagement photo shoot, bridal portraits, vendor meetings, and schedule times to show your family and friends your venue. You may drop off items during your wedding week prior to your wedding day and arrange a time to pick them up after your wedding.
Wedding Planning Guidelines – Private Portal:
We provide access to our private wedding planning portal on our website exclusively for our couples that includes detailed information pertinent to our venue with sample floor plans, reception timelines, wedding budget examples, our preferred vendor list, wedding alcohol quantity/lists, and a lot more!
Two beautiful and spacious private dressing areas. One located inside our main Barn complete with a large vanity bar, stylish sofas and chairs, Keurig coffee maker, Bluetooth speaker, and private entrance to restrooms and outside areas. The other is our upscale Log Cabin located a short walk from our main Barn and includes a full restroom, kitchenette, bistro style seating inside, and covered porch with lounge furniture, plus it is heated and air-conditioned for year round comfort.

Preferred Vendor List
We provide Wedding Planning assistance, but you are required to hire one of our preferred Event Management Planners that assist the last 1-3 months prior to your wedding and are present on your wedding day.
Caterers must be full service and licensed in NC.
You may bring in your own alcohol, but all alcohol must be served by bartenders provided by your Caterer. You must obtain the required “Limited Occasion Special Use Permit” from the NC ABC if you plan to serve liquor. This is not a liquor license.
Our 60 acre farm has several options for your ceremony including our 3,500 outdoor patio with wrought iron gazebo or stone fireplace overlooking our lavender fields and surrounded by the most enchanting majestic forest. Our covered Pavilion Barn with a solid roof for any weather concerns is another option for either your ceremony or cocktail hour. Also, our farm has a large pasture with 600 lavender plants surrounded by acres of forest.
Our large visitor parking area is well lit with 20′ tall LED post lights and is plenty of space for all your guests. Plus, we allow your guests to leave their cars overnight.

Rehearsal Dinners, Bridal Luncheons:
We would love to host your pre-ceremony festivities and only offer rental of our Barns for Rehearsal Dinners and Bridal Luncheons to our already booked couples.
At 6,760 sq ft, a walk inside will transport you to days gone by of hand hewn beams accented with wrought iron and historic fixtures.
