Schedule a Tour:

 Lavender Oaks Farm is a private 60 acre country estate located less than 5 miles to downtown Chapel Hill, NC where you’ll find several hotels, restaurants, breweries, and bars, plus we are only 30 minutes to RDU Airport. Our property is meticulously cared for and features a magnificent setting of majestic forest, lavender fields, seasonal gardens, and century old historic barns traditionally restored with the most exquisite modern features. 

Our Barns:

Our two historic timber frame barns are the heart of our farm and designed in the style of European farmhouses and chateaus.  Our main Barn, circa 1900, is 7,000 sq. ft. and quite elegant with a touch of rustic, adorned with opulent wrought iron and crystal chandeliers, temperature controlled, and includes our beautiful Dressing Suite, a second retreat room for unlimited possibilities (photo booth, ice cream vendor), a 1,000 sq ft Loft, gourmet kitchen, spacious restrooms, and beautiful pathways connecting each barn. Walk outside our main Barn and enjoy our 3,500 sq. ft. outdoor terrace with our stone fireplace, wrought iron gazebo, all overlooking our gardens of lavender plants, majestic trees, seasonal flowers, cascade hops, and the most magnificent forest. We faced our main Barn east so the outdoor patio gets all the afternoon shade which creates the most comfortable setting for your guests and the best lighting to capture every detail of your event. Our covered outdoor Pavilion Barn is a beautiful setting for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or as a rain contingency plan.  Our 60 acres also includes a 7 acre pasture adjacent to our main lavender fields, a stocked pond, and tree-lined pathways that meander through our forest for the most incredible photos. It’s an honor to help our couples plan their beautiful weddings and create timeless memories!

Wedding Planning & Event Management Included in Rental Fee 

No need to hire an outside Planner or Event Manager!

We include a dedicated in-house Wedding Planner and Event Manager for your wedding and it’s included with our venue rental fee. You DO NOT need to hire any outside planners or event managers. We’ll schedule your first planning meeting within 2-3 weeks of booking (or sooner) and listen to your vision and overall budget, then we’ll immediately get to work for you and connect you to several vendors within each category that are available for your wedding. We’ll coordinate everything from your vendor list, budget, timeline, floor plan, and even design and print your wedding stationery and wedding day signage. We only book a select number of weddings annually so you’ll have more access to meet with us several times throughout planning and access to the venue multiple times prior to your wedding day.  It’s our greatest joy to curate your wedding day vision and remove all the stress for the most magical event. 

Additional Wedding Planning Online Guide – Private Portal:

In addition to your in-house dedicated Wedding Planner and Event Manager, we also provide access to our private wedding planning portal on our website exclusively for our couples that includes detailed information pertinent to our venue with sample floor plans, reception timelines, wedding budget examples, our favorite vendor list, wedding alcohol quantity/lists, and a lot more!

Graphic Design: Included

As artists and designers we have curated several in-house designs for your Save the Date, Invitations, and Event Signage that can be customized for free, but we’re happy to design original stationery, too. Printing is included, but envelope addressing is not. We have local and online printing sources to recommend for additional services such as calligraphy, envelope printing of addresses.  

Two On-Site Dressing Suites

Elegant room inside our Main Barn, plus a modern Log Cabin on our property. 

Multiple Ceremony Locations

Our couples love all the options on our farm for their ceremony location. Our terrace is connected to our Main Barn and includes a white wrought iron gazebo and stone fireplace which are both selected for ceremonies. Our covered Pavilion Barn is connected to our terrace by a meandering concrete pathway and is another popular ceremony location and great weather contingency plan. 

Access to the Venue Throughout Planning:

Your wedding day should be totally stress-free and to make it easier for you we do allow you to drop items off before your wedding day and pick up items the day after your wedding. Your vendors will be required to clean up our venue at the end of the reception, but we’ll gather items such as your guest book, toasting glasses, gifts, leftover favors, and have those items ready for you to pick up the following morning. 

In-House Decor:

We have a vast collection of decor for you to use and is included with your rental fee. Our venue furniture includes two options for reception tables (72″ round, 8″ long farmhouse tables), 6 cocktail tables, a cake table, gift table, buffet tables, and a delightful “floating table” for assorted desserts, photo displays, and many other uses. Our chairs include 250 Chiavari chairs for your reception and an additional 250 White Folding Chairs with padded seats for your ceremony. Our decor collection also includes items for centerpieces, candle holders, lanterns, assorted decorations, photo frames, easels, photo booth backdrops, vases, and we also include all your long-burning candles in multiple size and color options.

Guest Parking:

Our large visitor parking area will accommodate vehicles for guest lists of 250 and is well lit with several 20′ tall LED post lights. Plus, we allow your guests to leave their cars overnight and retrieve them anytime the following day. 

 Rehearsal Dinners, Bridal Luncheons: 

We would love to host your pre-ceremony festivities and only offer rental of our Barns for Rehearsal Dinners and Bridal Luncheons to our booked couples. There is an additional fee for pre-ceremony festivities.

Average Wedding Budget of Our Couples:

The average wedding budget of couples in 2023 that booked our venue was $35,000-$40,000 including our rental fee and all their vendors for about 125 guests. We have couples that spend less than this for fewer than 100 guests and some that spend quite a bit more for 250 guests, but because we include so much we find that we save our couples quite a lot.

Venue Access for Photo Shoots:

We want you to feel at home on our farm during wedding planning. You are welcome to arrange photo shoots and planning meetings on our farm including your engagement photo shoot, bridal portraits, vendor meetings, and schedule times to show your family and friends your venue.
